COUNT ON KITTY IN CLASSIC
Francesca D'Gorgio: Creditable efforts in Group 2 events at Ascot and Newmarket before losing her maiden in facile fashion on July course last summer. Step up in trip a guessing game but handles fast ground.
Infallible: Backed into favouritism ahead of Nell Gwyn Stakes and quickened clear of that field in good style to win going away. Form might not be up to much and she has to prove she stays but she has more to offer and is a leading player.
Kitty Matcham: Beautifully-bred filly by Rock Of Gibraltar out of a Sadler's Wells mare who took time to grasp things as a juvenile but ended her two-year-old career on a real high. Her last run was her best when she edged out Missit in the Rockfel and she is just the type to make giant strides as a three year old. Seems versatile regarding ground conditions.
Lady Deauville: Two-lengths third to Muthabara in Fred Darling and hard to see her reversing the form with that rival over this extra furlong.
Laureldean Gale: Made a big impression on debut for Peter Chapple-Hyam when winning maiden on July course last summer. Beaten in top company in France twice since - the latter on first start for Godolphin in Prix Marcel Boussac. A bit to prove after that showing.
Lush Lashes: Won Goffs Million impressively on debut at the Curragh on fast ground in September. Needs to put a disappointing seasonal reappearance behind her, but every chance of doing so as that was on heavy ground. No surprise if she ran a big race.
Max One Two Three: Tom Dacombe-trained filly who showed improvement to land Listed Rockingham Stakes with ease at York in October. Both wins came over six furlongs but looks like she'll get further than a mile on pedigree. Lively outsider.
Muthabara: Looked a most unlikely winner two furlongs from home in the Fred Darling but landed the spoils with turbo-charged finish that suggests the extra furlong here will suit. Her woolly coat should not put off backers but news of a minor setback on Friday morning is a worry.
Nahoodh: Lowther Stakes winner at York in August but well beaten by Muthabara in Fred Darling and though she should improve for that run, this looks to be just too big a challenge.
Natagora: Won six of eight starts including Cheveley Park Stakes here in October and Prix Imprudence at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Impressive on both occassions with latter performance suggesting she will stay. Solid claims.
Royal Confidence: Close third in European Free Handicap behind Stimulation proved she has trained on. Needs to improve again to mix it with the best of these but not without an each-way chance on favoured fast ground.
Saoirse Abu: The second Jim Bolger filly (also trains Lush Lashes) who landed two Group 1 races in a successful two-year-old campaign. Struggled under a penalty in a trial at Leopardstown on reappearance, but even accounting for that and the possibility she needed the run, she has to find something extra again here.
Savethisdanceforme: Fifteen lengths ahead of Lush Lashes in heavy ground Group 3 at the Curragh on reappearance. Should be seen to better effect on good ground. Respected.
Spacious: Travelled really well when winning May Hill on her second start as a two-year-old. Speciosa won that race before winning here, but the vibes from the James Fanshawe stable haven't been inspiring and she could be seen to better effect over further later in the season.
Spinning Lucy: Twice successful over six furlongs as a two year old, but well beaten by Infallible on reappearance in Nell Gwyn. Plenty to prove over the extra furlong here.
Conclusion: None of the market leaders look bombproof with Infallible not certain to stay the extra furlong, Spacious possibly not as forward as some and Muthabara's setback a worry. Natagora has the most solid credentials but that is reflected in her price and she is certainly no 11/4 shot in a race of this nature. A chance is taken on Aidan O'Brien's KITTY MATCHAM who slowly got the hang of things last year and improved significantly to win the Rockfel. With another winter on her back it is to be expected she has come on again and as she looks versatile regarding ground conditions she looks well worth chancing to emulate her sire's achievements in the colts version at a standout 12/1.

Izdvojiću tri omice:
Muthabara. Neporažena omica koja je kao 2yo dobila jednu Listed, a ove sezone jednu G3 trku. Sve trke trčala je na 1400m, ali distanca Gvineja joj ne bi trebala biti problem. Ono što jeste najveći problem je što je imala manjih zdravstvenih problema u poslednja dva dana i pitanje je da li je spremna da pruži maximum danas.
Savethisdanceforme. Ovo čisto subjektivno. U sedam startova ima dve pobede, drugo i treće i dva četvrta mesta. Ima već nekoliko startova na ovoj distanci. U jedinom nastupu ove sezone došla je za vrat druga u G3 trci. Žao mi je što je Murtagh kao prvi jahač izabrao da jaše drugu omicu. Savethisdanceforme će u današnjoj trci po prvi put osedlati R.L.Moore.
Kitty Matcham. U pet startova zabeležila je najpre dva četvrta mesta, potom jedno deveto i na kraju dve pobede, od kojih je druga bila u G2 nadmetanju. Ovo joj je prvi start u sezoni. Druga omica O’Briena u trci i upravo nju je Murtagh izabrao da jaše.
Sem ove, na programu je još jedna dobra G2 trka gde se posle gotovo deset meseci pauze na stazu vraća Sixties Icon. Prošle godine je
Sixties Icon dobio ovu trku vrativši se na stazu posle sedmomesečne pauze. Ovaj put imao je još dužu pauzu, ali mislim da bi opet mogao do trijumfa. A ima i odličnu kvotu 5:1
